Happy Child International summer soirée
On Saturday 27th June 2015, the Happy Child International foundation will be holding their Summer Soirée. The event, which takes place at the Wotton House Hotel in the Surrey Hills, aims to raise money for their work. This involves caring for children in Brazil and Angola who have been abused, often sexually exploited, and left homeless.
Happy Child International has for the last 21 years focussed on children living on the streets of Brazil, and since 2013 in Angola. Today, it has 14 centres across Belo Horizonte and Recife in Brazil, as well as a centre in Lubango, the seventh largest city in Angola. The charity has used their three R’s principle – rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration – to help more than 10,500 children return to their families, or adoptive families in both countries.
The Summer Soirée, located in the picturesque surroundings of the Wotton House Hotel, includes a three course meal with half a bottle of wine for £50. Additionally, there will be a quiz, raffle and charity auction over the evening too. With tables of 10, or the option of joining other tables if you have a smaller group, it is the ideal opportunity to get some of your friends together for an evening of fun, and all the while supporting a great cause.
