Risk assessment tool

Why?

Our client is a global publishing and information company. It provides professional information solutions to clients from multiple industries, including the risk and financial sectors.
The client found that their risk assessment tools and processes were in need of upgrading to meet current requirements. After reviewing the off-the-shelf solutions available, it was determined that a bespoke tool was required, in order to meet their needs.

What?

Sysdoc was engaged to develop a bespoke tool that was easy to use, and could produce automated and comprehensive reporting. As part of the project, we:
  • gathered end-user requirements 
  • worked with the business to realise a consistent way of recording and tracking risks across the group
  • developed a SharePoint solution that ensures the information is accessible and easily managed.

How?

Sysdoc technical solutions team gathered requirements and built the new solution in SharePoint, to meet the risk needs of the business. The tool was fully transitioned to the business with minimal training required.

Results

The solution has been well received by users who find it intuitive and an easy tool to work with. Consistency of risk recording has improved and the automated recording features make it much easier to track and deal with risk items.

In partnership with our client, Sysdoc was shortlisted for the Management Consulting Association Awards 2014, in the Finance and Risk Management category.
